Hula Classes

At WNA’s afterschool hula classes are split up into three age categories: Pre 4’s, K through 2nd grade, and 3rd through 8th grade.

In hula class, students master the basic hula steps and are exclusively taught worship songs. Students are able to participate in special performances for our annual Windward Nazarene Academy annual programs.

Intramural Sports

We highly recommend organized sports to young children as sports help students improve their athletic skills, physical dexterity, ability to work as a team, and teaches them sportsmanship.

WNA offers a sports program outside the regular school program. This program consists of a basketball league (girls and boys, 4th through 6th grade) and a volleyball league (girls and boys, 4th grade and up).

Big Island Study Tour

The Big Island Study Tour gives students the opportunity to see and experience the places they have learned about in their studies on Hawaii. The Big Island is one of the most diverse geographical locations in the world, with Mauna Kea, the highest mountain in the world from below sea level, Mauna Loa, the largest single mountain in the world, and Kilauea the most active Volcano  in the world, all on one island.  This study tour is packed with visits to museums and national parks, as well as many other exciting educational experiences.

Washington D.C. Trip

Every three years, some of our students voyage to Washington D.C. to experience our nation’s great history. The White House, the memorials, Gettysburg, Colonial Williamsburg, and several museums (including the high-tech Air and Space Museum), are an exciting part of this life-changing trip. Students will never look at our nation’s history the same way again!

Jammin' 4 Jesus

Jammin’ 4 Jesus is an extracurricular, creative movement class that is designed to help strengthen developmental needs of young children.

Jammin’ 4 Jesus helps your children to feel comfortable exploring new things and situations by building their self-confidence. We also provide a fun and safe environment so that children learn to take risks and take on difficult situations they encounter during growth. Another part of their growth we focus on is strengthening their large/fine motor skills. In helping with that, Jammin’ 4 Jesus entails creative exercise, stretching, various art activities, and lots of fun, creative movement.
