Our History

Windward Nazarene Academy began as Kaneohe Kiddie Kollege in 1967, a preschool sponsored by the Kaneohe Church of the Nazarene.  The church founded the school with the intent of reaching out into the community with the love of Christ.  Providing quality child care to the community was a way to minister to the needs of the community.  Located in Kaneohe on about an acre of land that is nestled within the community, the school has grown from a preschool to include elementary grades up to the 8th grade.

As a Christian school that is dedicated to a partnership with parents in nurturing their children in all aspects of their growth, WNA is unique.  While other schools may have a Christian emphasis, it is the way in which we carry out this mission that sets us apart from other programs.  WNA seeks to build relationships: between the school and its students, between the school and the families of those students, between families of the school, between students, and between the church families and school families.  It is on the foundation of these relationships that we work to effect change and growth in our students and in their families.
